There may be many kinds of pain –a nagging backache, pain accompanied by flu-like symptoms, pain in your arm and pain with irregular bloating. Not every one these pains can be treated by popping up a pain killer.
Not often do we give it enough thought and also take pain killer when pain starts to cause us distress. Pain, sometimes, can be a strong sign that your body is attempting to deliver you. Popping a pain killer isn’t the answer. Thus, you should not try to treat them in your home.
Pain Accompanied by Fever
These may be warning signs of a medical condition that needs you to see a doctor. Ignoring it persistently may result in health complications. Joint pain is an indicator of rheumatoid arthritis which could be chronic. It can also be because of systemic inflammatory disorder that may result in cerebral joints and lead to loss of joint and muscle function.
Left Arm Pain
Heavy lifting may be one of the reasons for pain in arms. Pain in the left arm, when accompanied by feelings of distress and discomfort in chest, should not be dismissed.
Pain from the Calves
You shouldn’t deal with cramping in calf muscles (with no strenuous physical activity) with a painkiller. The underlying cause is severe whenever there is discoloration and fever reduction of skin. Arterial insufficiency or blockage in blood supply to an organ may be the reason for pain in the calves.
Acute or Chronic Back Pain
If your back pain doesn’t go away in a few days, it may need medical intervention. Back pain with numbness, tingling or weakness in the limbs or loss of bladder/ bowel control factors towards nerve compression and is a sign of something serious.
Severe Anxiety that Worsens in Night
in case you’ve been experiencing deep, intense pain anywhere in the body that worsens at night, it may mean something serious. If pain during the night is accompanied with anaemia, unexplained fractures, insignificant falls, frequent infections and fatigue, there could be a form of bone cancer.
